David Buffham - Director and Project Designer David first set up a lighting business when, in 1995, his student union needed a head of lighting for the European Youth Olympics, which was being held in the city. Since then he has worked on hundreds of productions designing and programming using Strand, ETC, and Vari*Lite consoles and has experience of a wide range of moving light, conventional and multimedia systems. As founder and a director of London Light Production Services, he is responsible for the management and finances of the company while also keeping a very hands on role in our own productions. david@london-light.com +44 (0) 7767 667827 Sam Crook - Technical Director and Project Manager Sam started in amateur theatre 10 years ago also working for David on London Light's projects while he was still at school. After working on hundreds of theatre and TV productions in that time he now has a vast experience of lighting technology and controls from a range of manufacturers, as well as video media servers and CAD packages. As a director at London Light Production services, Sam is responsible for the day-to-day technical planning and logistics for the company and its projects. Sam also is a qualified electrician to 16th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, also holding other licences such as IPAF Powered Access. In his spare time, Sam loves his Land Rover Defenders – taking them apart, restoring and then putting them back together bit by bit. He can often be found off-road driving and camping. sam@london-light.com +44 (0) 7951 538137 Andy Vere - Business Development Manager and Project Designer Andy stepped into lighting at a very young age helping the caretaker with his primary school play. At secondary school, he spent his free time lighting school plays, dances and award evenings. He met David in 1995 and began working down in London designing lighting for amateur shows. After school, Andy went on to study lighting design at Rose Bruford College. He continued to work on productions and progressively moved into more professional positions designing and operating lighting for theatre, events and dance schools. He was a co-founder of London Light Production Services and after graduation with an honours degree, he worked on developing the company and building its client base. In January 2006, Andy left the company to go travelling around the world. Two of his years were spent in Australia working part time in theatres and touring several shows across the country. He is pleased to be back with London Light in the position of Business Development Manager.
