Corporate style awards ceremony, January 2009
Following hot on the heels of Smoky Joe's Café, the Songtime Awards featured a large amount of video, displayed on a 12'x9' projected screen supplied by London Light Production Services.
"This was a show which combined an Oscar style awards ceremony with X Factor style performances," explains David Buffham.
"Video montages of the nominees and winners were shown on the screen, which was running on a combination of a Green Hippo HippoCritter media server via the Eos lighting control desk and conventional DV equipment.
"The winners, when they performed, were lit on stage with Vari-Lite VL5 arcs, VL2K spots and washes and generic PAR cans. Meanwhile, ChromaQ ColorWeb was used as a back cloth providing interesting looks behind the artists."
